GulfHost, the new Middle East Trade Fair
Today the landmark for professional cooking equipment
In 2017 a new event was added to the already lively Middle Eastern panorama of trade fairs of our sector: we are talking about GulfHost, which is a spin-off from Gulfood, the large trade fair (97,000 visitors and one million square meters) that for 23 editions, also counting the upcoming one from February 18 to 22, 2019 at the World Trade Centre, has been exhibiting the state of the art of food and gastronomy in Dubai.
But why this twinning? In reality, Gulfood already housed a section dedicated to hospitality equipment and foodservice, which was very popular and appreciated but
whose size had become insufficient to contain its growing importance. This is why last year GulfHost was launched, an area exclusively dedicated to equipment that, given the success of the debut (25,000 admissions), from 30 October to 1 November 2018 celebrated its second edition in Dubai. The offer for meeting and exchange in the Persian Gulf has therefore been doubled and specialized, now giving visitors a 360° panorama of the state of the art and trends in the world of professional
cooking. In addition to these reasons, the decision to launch GulfHost also responded to another strategic motivation: EXPO 2020, which will take place in Dubai with the theme "Connecting minds, creating the future". The future is created by organizing it in time, so the new event is added as a trailblazer to the path of initiatives that will result in EXPO 2020.
Berto's participated in GulfHost 2018 displaying their flagship products in the stand, i.e. the La Cucina line of
professional cookers. Our stand was supervised by the Area Manager Stefano Casanova in collaboration with the company G.I.F. Middle East, which represents us in the Middle East area. On our stand Casanova and G.I.F. were available for the many visitors who came to see us and to illustrate to them their features and innovations of our professional solutions.
With the doubling of the trade fair offer in the UAE, our presence in Dubai has also been strengthened, an area
that is at the forefront of the world today in the fields of tourism, finance, management, design and architecture. An international showcase that is a projection into the future and a scenario in which Berto's wants to continue to be a leading player, as evidenced by the long series of our professional cookers that have equipped many of the most prestigious restaurants and the most exclusive hotel chains of the area over recent years: among these we mention the JW Marriott Marina Bloom, the Crab Market
